In early Spring 2020 I decided to make a photographic record of the wild flowers around my field ponds here in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The project had a very specific focus. The images are mainly of the flower or part thereof rather than the whole plant and are a mix of macro and close-up images. A few were photographed indoors initially (identified by (s) after the name) but otherwise all were taken of growing flowers in-situ and no harm came to the flower or plant.

The two aims of my project were that the flowers should be photographed in-situ outdoors where possible and that all the final images would be a result of focus-stacking. The number in brackets after each image in the Gallery is the number of shots that were used from the stack to form the final image. This was then adjusted in Lightroom and a little in Photoshop. Composition in the field is difficult but the backgrounds and the subject matter have not been replaced.

I have attempted to correctly name each flower, but please put me right if you spot an error and there are a few gaps. The images are roughly in the order that I took them. Thank you for taking a look and I would be interested in any comments that you might have.
